Photographer’s Note

The walls of Thessaloniki take 2 hours to walk around. Halfway round we come to the Eptapyrgoi (the castle of the 7 towers.) This together with a section of wall in right foreground. More on the history in subsequent shots.

Hello Phil,
This is a striking shot - your use of the section of wall is very successful in providing vertical structure and added depth. The buildings' shapes and colours are displayed to great effect against that splendid sky.
