[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This weekend we will have another TE meeting here in Romania and maybe next one I will organize in Iceland where we all can admire the wonders of nature like this little geyser
I would like to dedicate this picture to the master of TE meetings on TE Brigitte

I will start as Didier is saying in his last comments:seems that we (the sisters) have a problem with the tilt :)))))
But I admire this shot because I didnt see a place like this
and great dedication
Noapte buna

Hello Anellise,

I have seen some footage of this incredible geothermal wonder before, but this is the best still I have seen of it. I love how sharply the crest of the water is captured. In low lighting, I would imagine this feature would provide some very interesting long exposure opportunities. I bet there would be a lot of steam generated here in the middle of the winter season! The crowd of gathering people is an unavoidable inclusion but it does show the massive size of the geyser. In New Zealand the geysers are generally a lot smaller in volume but shoot much higher. Seeing this is quite unique, something which we don't have in non-volcanic Australia. I wonder if the water is actually boiling or if it is bubbling gasses that are causing the water to erupt? Intriguing place, thanks for the post.

Matt

WOW thats a true masterpiece...To get the picture exatly when the water blows is extremely difficult I know... Have done it myselves... The inclussion of the people gives a fine feeling of the size...
Only thing...Is this picture a bit tiltet or is the background really like that... I don't remember...
Anyway...TFS ... Ina...

Hi Anellise. Great photo. Wonderful sky. Good to have the tourists in shot to give scale. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Anes.

Should be an amazing view for sure. I've never seen an geyser so that's a perfect picture for me.

Excellent sky as usual!

Rgs, Oscar

The light blue color of the geyser is excellent. I first thought it to be a iceberg...

Hi Annelise,
So what's cooking ? a nice TE meeting ?
Oh, and I like this gentle trademark tilt of yours, but don't repeat it to Didier ;-)
Have a nice day JY

Hello Anes,

the photo was taken just at the right time. The shape of the water surface is so unusual what it is well translating the effect of the geyser.
The inclusion of the people provides the scale but also the strangeness of this phenomena as many are looking at.

Yves.

hello,
Original shot. Great sky and colours.

Wow, great timing to be able to catch this just as the eruption is happening! The people add a sense of scale, and again you have done great work with the clouds. Well done!

Hi Anes,
I had vaguely thought about posting a picture of strokkur today but just as well I didn't as yours is much better!!! You chose a good moment with the bubble just bursting above the horizon and the inclusion of the spectators works well.
A TE meeting in Iceland sounds like a great idea!
Take care,
John

Hi Anes,
Excellent timing: the power of nature.
Isn't it dangerous to stand that close?
Cheers

Hi Anellise

Its something else. A very unique and an amazing shot. Those water from geyser look very much like a pile of frozen ice.

Regards,

Lopshang.

Anellise,

Great capture, perfect timing.

Thanks for sharing,

Richard

Hi Anes,
Wow! It's only today that I discovered this beautiful photo... and it's dedicated to me!!!!! :o))))))
Geysers are always impressive and here you've managed to capture one with a wonderful light and those dark, low clouds above. I really hope that I will get a chance to visit Iceland one day.
Thanks a lot for this photo.

Bibi

Yeaaaah, as long as i know, those geysers are the signature of Iceland and i am really surprized to see so little amount of geyser photos in your gallery. Having the geyser just in the geometric center is not a very attractive compo for me, but the human figures breakiğng the symmetry are very useful to hide this "central" fact. I can't decide where to visit one day. Romania or Iceland? Maybe both...
Cheers,
Deniz
