Photographer's Note

I liked this cool-looking building, and I thought that this would make a nice "daily life" shot, with the people sitting and chatting outside, and the bicycles. Galway is a really nice town; we spent quite a few hours just walking around downtown by the river and through the old part of the city. We had dinner at a pub called the King's Head, which was all of 500 years old... awesome... this is located on Mainguard Street about a block off High Street. I think it's a pub/restaurant called An Tobar, which means "The Well." I really liked the architecture and decoration. It looks old but had a more modern appearance than many of the others. Galway, or Gailimh in Gaelic has a population of about 70,000 and is Ireland's third largest city.
