Photographer's Note

This is a complimentary photo to my previous TE post. My last photo was of Moyne Abbey, this is Moyne Castle.

But now i have to be honest, its not where I remember it to be on the TE Map. The TE Map is correct, my memory is completely wrong haha. I thought this Moyne Castle was just down the road from Moyne Abbey, but it's clearly not. I'm probably getting a few of the Ruins mixed up in terms of location.

Anyways, I'll figure that out later. What I can tell you about this Tower Castle was that it was built in the 16th century, about 1570. Inside was a tall Spiral Staircase, but of course its no longer around as the Tower is in total ruins, what a shame.

It's incredibly difficult to find any interesting information about this Castle, perhaps it wasn't so famous in terms of Historical Importance. But that doesn't make it less attractive or cool to me, i still love it.

It's located in an open pasture, just off the local road, easy to access. Its very spooky inside, cold and damp. Its also cool how mother nature takes over with time. In the WS I'll add a couple more photos. One of which I wish I could post as the main photo, but the TE regulations do not allow it.

Hope you enjoy this rustic ol' piece of history in the middle of nowhere in Ireland. As far as I can tell, this is the first and only post of it on TE.

PS
As an add-on for information. I uploaded this post and a couple of my previous ones at 790 pixels.
790 seems to be the magic number for TE sharpness.
Its the same sharpness as the TE Beta website, try it out with your own shots. The size is a bit smaller, but it'll be super clear and sharp.
