These finds are amazing and it's awesome to think just how old they are. The tight composition is good and you have left just enough space to show how this is in the middle of an everyday place.

Bonjour Pat
Un cliché bien réalisé avec ce dolmen qui fait penser à la Bretagne et qui a tout de suite attiré mon regard.
Merci pour le partage et bon week-end.

Hello Pat,
This is a fine documentary of this ancient burial place!
Interesting to see the structure has survived thousands of years, so peacefully located in a field of wild flowers...
Well framed, fine colours & details!

Hello Par
Interesting Celtic vestige surrounded by greens.
Perhaps a light crop on the subject is able to give more concentration on the main subject.
Best regards.

Hi Pat!! what an interesting description of this tomb! I think that you enjoyed a lot discovering such places in Ireland.
Nice composition here: I like sharpness and colors, but also the modern wall far away parallel with the old stone.
All the best! Ciao!!!

Pat,
wonderful note and image to give that feeling of Irish backcountry and history. I almost can see you hiking around and making these little discoveries.
At first I didn't like the background but with time I got use to it and think that it is actually quite clever showing us how these tombs are "lost" in the modernity.

Hello Pat,
I have a taste for this kind of monument in the so remote and dubious beginnings. I have me even published some photographs of French specimens. I like much the photograph, it is damage to see behind something of modern. Cheer.
Have a nice day

hi Pat,
I agree with Kath and Peter about the background - it does create an interesting context and contrast. I also like how the flowers seem to grow right out of the stone, I find it nicely shows that the stones have been there a loooong time. love the textures too.
best,
Kristine

Hi Pat,
Good informative note to illustrate this image of the neolithic tomb in Ireland.
There is a good graphical contrast between the stones of the tomb and the grass and the flowers that surround it, giving a nice natural touch.
The setting shows us where this interesting archaeological formation is placed.
Good work.

Hi Pat
Thanks to your note, I came to know about these wedge shaped tombs. Interesting to see the BG, the wall in particular. I did think you should have cropped it, but then it does show how ancient and modernity coexists here
Best Regards

Hi Pat,
Interesting structures. I often wonder what draw us so much to this type of places. We seem fascinated by ancient tombs, perhaps because we want to know the history underneath. Nice image, though it look very much like a painting. Nice bright colours. Thanks Pat.

Hi Pat,
Lovely sharpness and fine texture to these ancient stones that contrast so brilliantly with the lush green Irish grass.

Olá Pat,
Very interesting photo and note. Perhaps I'd prefer the photo without the modern part in background.
This tomb is very different and much older than the tombs of my last photo (Cemetery of Pleasures), but the function is the same, after so many thousand years.

Hi Pat,
Hope you and yours are well. You know my first instinct would have been to crop this just above the top of the tomb to get rid of the modern wold around it and just leave the interplay between the ancient place and the green of life .. but you know it is really intersting to see this place in the setting a typical "modern" place .. not off in the boonies somewhere but just part of daily life .. very nice. take care, John
