Photographer's Note

The 12th century Kilkenny castle towers of the town with the same name as the sun sends her last weak rays across the river Nore.
Kilkenny is a charming little town, almost postcard Ireland with lots of colorful shop fronts, many a good Pub and an impressive cathedral from the 11th century.
The castle was initially built by Richard de Clare, better known as Strongbow, it was then bought by the Butler family in 1391 who lived there until 1967 before they sold it to the city of Kilkenny for a mere 50 pounds. Most of todays structure dates from the 19th century though.
