This shot was taken at The Point Depot in Dublin at the Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris gig, one of the shows of their great All the roadrunning tour. Besides photography, music is one of my passions. Mark Knopfler being my all time favourite, so I couldn't let the chance pass. With a bunch of friends I spent a wonderful weekend at the Irish capital.

The shots were very tricky, as you can see Mark was wearing a white shirt, and in this particular moment (during Romeo and Juliet) he was playing his beautiful National steel guitar. There was so much reflected light that many of the shot got overexposed... but finally I could save a few of them.

Hi Rafael. Mark Knopfler is my all time favorite as well. I have seen him two or three times in concert and tried to take pictures as well. These concert shots are difficult. You did a nice job with the clarity and the lighting.

Hi Rafael,

I'm definitly a big fan of Knopfler, from the very begining of Dire Straits to his last solo album "Kill To Get Crimson"... I saw the DVD of his show with Emmylou Harris, but unfortunataly not the show itself... :(

Very beautiful sharp pict you can be proud of...

yeah, romeo & juliet, the steel guitar, well known, saw and heard it unfortunately just 2 times up until now.

J'adore les photos de concert, et j'adore Mark Knopfler et Emmylou Harris.
Dommage qu'on ne la voit pas :)
La mise au point a été soignée, on devine la concentration de Mark à interpréter son morceau.
