C'était le seul bruit de ce début de nuit.
Les mouettes rieuses étaient déjà couchées.
Le clapotis des vagues avait aussi cessé.
Alors, je regardais le bruit du pêcheur.
J'écoutais le bateau fendre la mer scintillante.
Teuf teuf teuf.

It was the only noise of this beginning of night.
The black-headed gulls were already lying.
The lapping of the waves had also ceased.
Then, I looked at the noise of the fisherman.
I listened to the boat to split the scintillating sea.

tu as raison,il me semble entendre le bruit du bateau déchirant le silence!j'aime la brillance de l'eau et sa couleur légèrement dorée,et j'aime cette composition où alternent des bandes sombres et claires!Superbe!

On tendrait l'oreille et on pourrait presque entendre le bruit du moteur poussif de cette barque.

Here I'm again Bertrand !
It is not my fault, your excellent works make me to appear so often !
This picture is realy amazing wonderful.
The most important is the atmosphere ,the title and the words. As I was born in an island I know very well this "teuf teuf" at night or very early in the morning. It's a music to my ears and a certainty that life is going on and on.....

your note is an especially pleasant addition to this lovely photograph. It fits it perfectly. I like the lines across and the distant silhouette of the boat and fishermen. Lots of space. I particularly like that far to the back of the shot there is still a bit of light reflecting on the water. Space AND depth. What a tranquil scene. Really a lovely shot. hello Bertrand,
you know what this photo makes me think about? coffee with milk slowly stirring in the cup :) not exactly black and white, not exactly colours, but subtle and elegant pale golden tones that swirl in hypnotic patterns. the boat is a great accent in this minimalistic shot, and your note - a perfect description. excellent work, my compliments.
