[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Visitors from all over the world come to this Castle to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. It is a tadition intended to confer a magical experience. In order to kiss the stone you you have to climb 127 steps to the top floor where you are then grasped by the feet and suspended backwards under the parapet. The Castle dates back to 1446

Hi Colin,
this is a great photo with a wonderful sky and good colors. The distortion is extreme, but it makes the shot interesting.
Cheers,
Linda

How beautiful it is! I like it: I'm a medieval archaeologist and I love castles and ruins. I work in C.I.S.C.U (an International Istitution the studies castles and fortifications). If you want you could send me more photos about castles and their history. I'll put them in our files, and I'll write your name on them...
Bye

Hi Colin
That's a very interesting photo of Blarney Castle. I was up there myself when I was on holiday in Ireland in 1993. Me and a friend of mine liked the idea of always being eloquent. But as we saw the gap we would have to bridge, we hesitated and rather enjoyed the fantastic view. I like your pic. The colours are nice and the perspective is different.
regards, Heike

I just saw a program on television where they visited this castle and what one has to do to kiss the Blarney Stone...I don't think I'd be able to do that, it looked scary! I love your tilted castle, it adds to its charm. The sky is lovely, and I like the greenery in the forefront.

Hi Colin,
I must admit that I missed the Blarney Castle on my first and only visit to Ireland so far (2007). I heard that you are supposed to put your head inside a stone and kiss it.
So I have to try that experience next time I visit Ireland.
Tfs this beautiful photo of Blarney Castle!
