Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta - Atri (TE)
The basilica of Santa Maria Assunta is the co-cathedral of the diocese of Teramo-Atri and the cathedral of Atri, a three-thousand-year-old city of art in the Adriatic Abruzzo, a few kilometers from Pescara, as well as being one of the symbol-monuments of Abruzzo. It is a national monument since 1899. The entire building is made of squared blocks of stone, sandstone and pudding and with the reuse of some ancient fragment. The façade with square blocks is divided vertically into three parts by four pilasters, two of which are placed on the corners, the other two framing the portal and the rose window.
