Photographer's Note
Here I liked both the cultural contrast between high brow theatre and the working class fishing boats as well as the color contrast between the blue and tan.
"Margherita Theatre was built between 1912-14 in the cove of the old port, on pillars grounded directly in the sea." It was closed between 1980 - 2009, but restored / reopened, & is now the city's contemporary arts centre. More information here:

Bonjour, cher Chris,
C'est vrai ce contraste de couleurs entre les barques et l'édifice est manifeste. La joliesse de l'ensemble n'en est que plus forte.
Très belle présentation.
Amitiés.

All boats but one in stunning blue, Chris, and the composition made this scene so vivid - a pleasure to the eyes.
The Theatre is an imposing building on the waterfront, shown in super-fine manner.
Bravo and a nice new week,

Hello Chris,
Our perceptions were perfectly in sync for my first thoughts when I saw this were, how well the blues and orangey-browns were working together.
The boats make a vibrant f/g, especially being surrounded by the shimmering reflections, all adding extra colour.
The theatre is high class.
Do you think it is viewing the little boats with contempt!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris
it would be interesting to see how it looked during 2 stages...when it was first built, and then in that 29 year period of isolation.
and you're right, the stark contrasts are almost comical in a way. it couldn't be any different. funny looking scene at first glance, and thats why it caught my attention. excellent TE post, never seen this place before. cheers

Hello Chris,
The colour contrast between the boats and the theatre is striking.
Remarkable that all the boats - excepted one - are painted in the same colour.
A part of another beautiful building is visible behand the palmtrees on the left.
Excellent clarity and sharpness.

Hello Chris,
Great capture with very appealing, vivid colours. The theatre looks great and its warm colours make a great contrast with the many blue boats in the foreground. The reflections in the small waves are very attractive.

Olá, Chris!
Uau! A nitidez e a luz estão perfeitas, realçando ainda mais esse bonito lugar. Os barcos azuis fazem um contraste bonito com o amarelo/laranja do teatro. Saturação ideal.
Excelente foto!

It is a pretty building. I noticed the color contrast right away but had to read your note to think about the cultural contrast. I agree with your observation.
