Photographer's Note

This is the Krupp Street (via Krupp). The road was an idea of A. F. Krupp, the German steel industrialist who spend a lot of time in an Hotel in Capri.
It was built in 1902 on a project by Emilio Mayer. It starts here and characteristically zig-zags its way to Marina Piccola. According to architect R. Pane, it proves “that even a road can be a work of art”.
I suppose , Mr. Krupp would not be happy to know that this wonderful road is today still closed to the public. A lot effort for nothing!
I tried to improve the colors; when I took the photo it was raining...see also my photo of Capri with a small tornado.
