Ancient City Paestum, a photo from Salerno, Campania

Photographer's Note

This is another picture of the ancient greek city of Paestum south of Naples, taken during our visit in May 2007.
The weather at this day was very changeable, one moment there where huge clouds and minutes later sunshine.
I've decided to make this image B&W because the sky was totally grey and the contrasts are better with this toning.

Hi Hartmut, I am really enjoying your Italian and Irish series especially. And here we see a different POV of amazing Paestum. Excellent choice of B&W with great contrast and I really like the tight cropping you've used here. TFS, Lisa.

la bellezza di questi templi ,come quelli di Agrigento in Sicilia, è unica e devo dire che la resa in B&W rende bene le scanalature delle colonne.
Mi piace l'inquadratura doppia con una buona luce a supporto e un contrasto efficace ma non spinto, bravo

Hallo Hartmut,

ich schon wieder... ;-) Die Wahl von schwarz/weiß finde ich gut hier. Trotzdem sieht man sehr schön, wie das Licht von der linken Seite kommt. Und der Blickwinkel ist originell. Schön gemacht!

Hab schön schönes WE gewunschen also wünsche ich dir jetzt Entspannung!

Bonjour Hartmut.
Le B&W est bien choisi pour mettre cette architecture aux lignes très pures en valeur. J'aime la composition qui équilibre les masses.
Un très beau travail !
