Donnafugata, a photo from Ragusa, Sicily

Photographer's Note

Donnafugata è conosciuta soprattutto per il suo bellissimo castello, ma anche in questo caso ho preferito dare priorità a questo panorama così diverso da quelli a cui sono abituato.
Seguendo il navigatore satellitare ho fatto una strada secondaria e devo ringraziare questa scelta perché mi ha permesso di vedere da vicino questo paesaggio ricco di muri in pietra bianca, grano, olivi e carrubi, con piccole case in pietra abbandonate sparse lungo il percorso.
Spero un giorno di poter tornare in questo luogo e girare queste strade in bicicletta, per meglio gustarmi questo paesaggio meraviglioso.

Hola Carlo

Good sharpness and the converging dual lines of the road add deep linear perspective. I like the warm cold color contrasts too between the blue sky and yellow straw colored grass and even some of the rocks in the adjacent walls. Tfs!

mi piace molto la prospettiva invitante e la semplicita' della tua composizione. La semplicita' dello scenario ha un' eleganza particolare, le strutture di pietra sembrano opere d' arte. Hai fotografato lo scenario in maniera interessante, c' e' equilibrio e le aree diverse completano lo scenario effettivamente. Hai ottenuto bei colori atmosferici nell' ombra delle nuvole. Ciao Carlo,uno scenario che quasi mi ricorda il nord della campagna tunisina,stessi muretti e stesso stile delle casette,una foto molto bella perche' si fa' amare pur non avendo acuti di rilievo,peccato per il filo che purtroppo si trova anche nella minestra.Buonanotte,Luciano

Ciao Carlo, I also prefer to go by such a back roads and not by highways. And when it is me who has GPOS in hand...
Charming road with the stone walls, a bit similar as in Scotland. wonderful old trees (olives?). Very nice composition, excellent perspective, lovely colours.

Hello Carlo,
I always marvel at these drystone walls and the special skill that goes into building them. Here they make a wonderful pair of lead lines drawing the viewer into the scene. The light was prefect to bring out the colours and detail in the individual stones.

Hello Carlo,
A bicycle tour would be a perfect way to see this area. Good roads, probably not many cars, maybe not so many hills and a lovely scenery with memories of old cultures. This is a very pleasant photo with fine colours and a good look along the road and the carefully built walls.

A nice picture taken between the walls with nature stones at both sides
You chose a very well angle, you create depth and perspective, nice landscape image.
The good luminosity is bringing out live of colours.

Les deux murets de pierres forment un bel effet entonnoir qui donne beaucoup de profondeur à la composition. Le point de vue très bas accentue cette impression. Belle gestion de la lumière difficile.

Ciao Carlo, gran bella prospettiva sulla strada bianca affiancata dai muretti a secco, la Sicilia ti ha ben ispirato che anche questa foto è di qualità strepitosa, potresti metterla come illustrazione sul Gattopardo, bravissimo, ciao Silvio

Ah, la belissima Sicilia, questa parte non l'ho conosciuta, e è una strada semplice e bella. Mi piacerebbe conoscere meglio questa regione. Un buon scatto, congratulazione!
