Photographer's Note

Below the town of Ispica is the Cava d'Ispica. It is a narrow valley that has been occupied since neolithic times. Caves have been used for living, the dead and for worship.
It looks like some of the caves have been lived in recently or by the looks of some of the old men sitting outside some nearer town (where they have proper doors and even windows) some may still be lived in.
This image shows a church that has been built into a cliff,and even has a bell.
