Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
It is the Easter Holiday, the weather is dull and damp and I began to reminisce about last year's holiday, spent in beautiful Florence, Italy.
Anyone who visits Florence will be drawn to The Duomo and its associated Giotto's Belltower, close architectural friends, for they dominate the skyline.
Earlier, I posted a shot of The Duomo here ; this time I want to give you an impression of the height and beauty of the belltower.
After studying its architecture, we proceeded to climb its hundreds of steps, to get that amazing sight of The Duomo from above.
If you would like to experience the whole of this site, there is a fine video here whichI borrowed from U Tube.
Many thanks for stopping by, Bev :-)

Hi Bev
A superb upward pov contrasting the 2 very different styles of Florentine architecture (even though they are obviously part of the same complex), & incorporating excellent use of linear perspective & converging lines. Good sharpness & a nice blue sky. Happy Easter Sunday!

Hi Beverly,
One day ahead of me, as told you once, almost same POV's taken, a difficult one here, but well managed the light and outlines appear very clear.
Great archi. details shown.

Hello bev,
here in Athens the sunshine of the day day and the hot weather makes someone bathed in perspiration during a walk.
Nice your last year memories from the beautiful Florence, with its architectural diomonds to dominate the image.I like the brilliant light of the day, as the contrast of the vivid colours.
Have a good Easter,danos

Hi Bev
now thats architecture!
I know its not your favorite subject, but you can certainly see why i love this subject so much!
this is one of those times where the keystoning of tall buildings works in your favor.
and i like how the top is classically located at the 1/3 area. Very sharp and well detailed.
excellent shot from Florence! i must make it here one day
cheers

Hello Bev,
This is a beautifully executed photograph from a perfect viewpoint and quite different from the more classical view of these splendid buildings. Interestingly enough, I see that our friend Malgo posted such a classical view just yesterday.
Perfect composition, spot-on exposure, lovely colours and excellent detail and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Did you get my last forum message following your photograph of the ice cream company's Chevrolet pick-up truck?

Hi Beverley,
I enjoyed Florence when I've been there many years ago, it's one of the most beaituful cities I've ever visited ! A nice POV on the most known monument of Florence here. It makes the bell tower look very high.

Bonjour Beverly,
J'aime beaucoup ce point de vue qui donne une perspective intéressante sur le campanile le plus photographié d'Italie. Le cadrage est innovateur et donne beaucoup d'ampleur à l'ensemble,
