Good Morning Everyone,
Please click here to see the sharper clearer photograph. Believe me, it is worth the effort.
The weather is very misty here, in England, this morning so I thought I would lift my spirit by visiting one of my favourite holiday places, Florence.
I chose this shot because it gives an overview of the city; it reveals how the artery of the Arno snakes through the city and creates a need for the many distinctive bridges. The first you can see is the iconic Ponte Vecchio, with its plethora of jewellery shops.
You can also, see how the city is warm in colour and its buildings are interwoven with trees and towers. If you get the opportunity to visit, you won't be disappointed!
My warm regards,

You had an excellent vantage point for this capture. The river snaking its way through the city and the succeeding bridges helps create depth and perspective for the composition. A well exposed image with agreeable natural colours and very good sharpness. We have only visited Florence once, some forty years ago, even then it was packed out with tourists though perhaps not as bad as Venice that we went to on the same holiday. I can only imagine it has got even worse since then.
Dull and overcast here today.

I was in Florence, when I was 6 years old and obliviously have few memories. Now, your photo help me to remember that it was a nice city.

Best time to take this picture is during morning hours, and I was so frustrated when our guide took us up there in late afternoon, and that's ruined the outcome of my picture from this very same spot.
All of Firenze old town and the Arno bridges can be very nicely spotted. Beautifully taken this advantage here.
My best regards,

This is a fairly typical postcard, but why not? What a fantastic view this is. I remember how deeply impressed I was on my first visit here in 1969. I had never seen any place more packed with architectural beauty, and it is still almost unmatched. You had quite heavy clouds that day but the uniform colours have a distinct clarity. Not even two or three cranes can spoil the beauty if this great city.

What a pleasant panorama view about the city.
But the river and bridges care for depth and perspective.
By this way see we the city on an other way.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice new week,

A view to enjoy and not to be tired of looking at it.
We can see some of the famous landmarks of Firenze.
The succession of bridges is truly beautiful.
A splendid city panorama with a good inclusion of the palmtrees and the greenery on the foreground.
Best regards, Paul

Hi dear Beverley
So impreaaive and comfortable city bird-view shot. So tasty and calm mood is well described. So wonderful unity of roof color is astonishing in the best framework.

I was there last summer and I may say it's one of my favorite cities of Europe. Spectacular panoramic view.
macjake (72447) 2017-02-27 3:47
isn't this view just spectacular!
i was at this exact viewpoint as well, and its well worth the walk. I like the comment you made about how warm the city looks due to its choice of colour of the buildings - i never really thought of it that way but you're right.
a good change of pace in terms of posting for you, the shot is super clear/sharp, and with so much depth. cheers
