Villa Pianciani
A few kilometers from Spoleto, in the heart of the green Umbria, on top of a hill overlooking, with an unforgettable overlooking the surrounding landscape overlooking Assisi, Montefalco, Spello and nearby Spoleto, Villa Pianciani is an elegant historic residence of the late eighteenth century , work of the famous architect Giuseppe Valadier, and part of a monumental complex that includes several buildings and a large historic park, with interesting old trees.
Surrounded by a spectacular landscape and a farm that produces an excellent organic oil, the entire complex, as a national monument, it is bound by the Fine Arts of the Italian State.
Behind the Villa, in an eccentric position and surrounded by olive trees, there is a lovely neoclassical chapel, where the Valadier provides an anticipation of the dictates of neoclassical thought and its subsequent works. It looks like a classical temple with a columned portico and a triangular tympanum. The interior has a single nave and a hemicycle apse, with two small lateral bodies used as sacristy.
Thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable guide, to the entire management and the staff of Terraia Spoleto the magnificent residence vintage "Villa Pianciani" for the courtesy, competence and availability and also for the care with which retain the magnificent park
