Everything here is fake.
The horses on the balcony of Saint Mark's Cathedral are a copy of the original, made of copper, which are in a museum inside the church.
The astronomical clock dates back from the XV century and was restored in 1757. It shows the time, the year season, the constellation the sun is passing through (hence the month) and the lunar phases.
The tower dates also back from the last years of the XV century (first of the XVI).
Due to restoration or cleaning works (don't know) both tower and clock were covered with a kind of tapestry with a picture of them.
I believed it was a good idea.
