Castello di Peneggi – Sellano (PG)
Hard to say if there is a more remote place in Peneggi in the mountains of Umbria, it is useless to search for it with the browser, Google Maps doesn't know it mica.
News on the small settlement are also difficult to find, that Peneggi is not mentioned in the fine work Umbria - Manuals for the territory - La Valnerina, Il Nursino, Il Casciano and Fabbi makes a few hints in his works.
Four houses and two churches lost in the Sellanese, already half of itself, cut off from the main vehicular flows and unknown to most.
To find it you need to reach Civitella di Sellano, take the road to Setri and continue to climb after passing this village.
The small inhabited area, separated in the two nucleuses of Peneggi and San Giuseppe, far from one another about three hundred meters, preserves traces of a dignified architecture, among which stands a beautiful dovecote tower.
