Beautiful late evening capture of this little town in Tuscany! The contrast between the golden rays of light falling on the houses with the cloudy skies behind is well in place and adds drama and interest!

You have indeed captured some lovely light and the backdrop of the turbulent sky is very impressive.Interesting contrasts of light with lovely shadows.I also like the movement of the trees stressing that the storm is on the way.As always a professional image....keep well.

Prachtige plaat Henk al vind ik het wel altijd erg braaf wat je maakt, ik zou weleens wat spanneders van je willen zien aangezien er aan je techniek niets aan te merken valt.

... or Tavarnelle VP as it reads on the highway... I did not take this exit last year, see I missed yet another fine village of Tuscany, bad on one side, positive on the other one as it gives me a good reason to return, let's think positive ;-)
You got here an excellent PoV and the timing is just great to have the church structures shine with the help of the declining light rays, lovely architecture that together with the trees around is Tuscany's signature. A bit early maybe now, but I wish I could enjoy your photo having a glass of chianti ;-)

You've captured a fantastic light here, a best light of the day indeed. Very Italian photo, a classic composition from Tuscany. Resembles me the "Stealing beauty" film by Bertolucci. Very good work!

Hi Henk, a very good shot, taken with wonderful light conditions, and demonstrating what is a Velvia (I like the tonal variety of this film).
Well composed with the verticality of clocktower strengthened by the trees (cypresses, peculiar of Tuscany).

Henk, every time I see one of your photos here it makes me want to go out & buy some Fuji Velvia :)

This is excellent, the light is perfect & the timing (given the weather on the day) equally so as you got the shot at the right moment. The POV takes full advantage of the setting sun. Great work!

Hi Henk,
You certainly made the right choice to come back for the lighting. I like the fact that the foreground shrubbery is still very visible, not quite silhouetted. The brown earth blends well with the hues of the buildings. The tower balances the tall, shapely trees. The shadow effects are very effective. Exquisite light and great ambience. This is inspirational. Well captured.

You are right; the light is incredible. It just seems to be picking out the building casting a golden glow, which is so well contrasted with the dark blue of the stormy sky.

Wat een prachtig licht valt er hier op deze gebouwen en deels op de begroeiing op de voorgrond. Een mooi spel van kleuren is het resultaat. Vergis ik me als ik denk dat er best een windje stond toen?
Mooi level van detail en mooie lucht erachter. Ik zie de naam van een berucht fotorolletje staan! De prachtige kleuren zijn daar vast deels het gevolg van, en van het mooie licht natuurlijk.
