[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
As usual I was waiting until the sky would become dark, but not completely dark. The blue moment doesn't last too much, and one has to be fast.

But here I also used a flash in order to freeze details of the boats. I also added an orange filter
on the flash in order to match the other lights

The place is magical of course and I tried my best in order to record it with my camera.

Hi Izzet,
I have seen this scene before, even on blue hour. It's great of course. But your use of flash has added something special here. Filter on flash is something I need to try myself some day.
Kari

Wonderful, Izzet! I can never be tired of these blue gondolas docked in this particular place, I have myself several photos of them when I was in Venice. Beautiful blue hour shot with long enough exposure to capture the movement of gondolas. I like how the colour of the boats matches the sky colour.

Cheers
Alexander

Hello Izzet,
the movement of the gondolas and the grainy look adds to almost a "painting look"...
Thanks for sharing
Vlad

bonjour Izzet,

très belle inspiration que ces gondoles prises en pose longue pour suggérer le mouvement.

Je pense que vous connaissez : ( © David Noton - Piterak )

very nice

The technique that you used here is very interesting, and its produced a great result. I like the combination of sharp detail in the boats frozen by the flash, and the blur caused by the movement of the water. This, combined with the great colours of the evening sky and the floodlit buildings has created something special.
Very creative shot, Izzet.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Izzet. Interesting to compare this single-5 sec-exposure shot with the one you have previously published that had been done with the multiple exposures on the D200. The blue hour mood adds a touch of beauty and elegance on the whole scene, and the use of flash is a great idea to emphasize additional color and texture in the foreground. Lovely work.

This does indeed seem like magic, with wonderful light and a sense of feeling. I like the contrast between the deep blue of the sky and ocean, and the warm orange of the lights. The blur on the boats gives this an extra added dimension, one of time passing. Well done!

Hi Izzet
Moving gondolas;well captured and an original shot with nice light and colours.

Hi izzet,

interesting work. I love the motion blur of the gondolas. Its as if they are moving on my computer:) The sharpness of the background is a great contrast to the foreground.

What a wonderful dance, Izzet. The blurred gondolas gives a great feeling of this swing. Fantastic, and very vlever composition. THe blue colors are magical. Excellent artistic work, and a great image.

Izzet, esta foto me parece um festival de
lindas cores, luzes e formas.
O reflexo dourado na água é muito bonito.
Parabéns, grande abraço,
Vera.

The background is captured really well with good details. However, the boats are shaky and out of focus and it spoils the picture. This defects the purpose of your intentions to freeze the details of the boats because you didn't capture any. Since, the boats are large and in the foreground, it catches the eye immediately and distorts the rest of the picture. Sorry for being too blunt but I'm trying to be honest and not sugar coat like the other members have done.
