Saint Nicolas

Photographer's Note

Saint Nicolas is a small relaxing village with 180 people situated between Aosta and Cormayeur in Italy. Woods, snow, peaks and perfect views from its 1.200 mts above sea level.
It's not a touristic place, which makes it nicer.

Hi Guido,
I like your photo, reminds me of my good times, while doing skiing in the Bavarian Alps.
First of all, nice frame :)
Suits very well, with the calm but bright picture.
Brobably you should have converted it into BW, but that is just my personal opinion ;)
Nice tunnel effect.
Great POV and DOF, well sharpened, nice composition and fine colours.

I love snow so I really admire this unspoiled, idyllic scene.
Very nice, almost symmetric composition of the little road with a curve at the end that really makes me curious of where it goes.

A good composition. The snow looks great. If your camera has an aperture priority mode you could choose a higher f number and bring that fabulous foreground snow into focus. You could have got the same exposure with f8 and 1/100 which would have given a greater depth of field but still allowed you hand hold the camera

J'aime beaucoup cette composition hivernale.
Une belle couleur de la neige : comme il faut.
Peut-être un peu dommage pour le titre en bas de la photo.
