As you know, Venice has a multitude of bridges which often provide the best vantage point for tourists, who are able to gaze at the gondolas and other boats as they pass below.
I mostly try to exclude the tourists from my scenic views, but here I felt that they added a different dimension to the norm. This is taken above the Grand Canal, not far from San Marco Square. The weather, as you can see was sunny and clear, although raher cold.
I increased contrast slightly and did a small amount of cropping. |

Hello Grant.
Colourful, pleasant view of Venice. Your intention of showing us that the photo is taken from one of the many bridges are good, but (IMO) the thick fence kind of hides the view too much. I can't really see what's happening on the canal. Maybe you should have held your camera high above your head.
Photo is very well detailed with good contrast and light. DOF is also good.
Regards
Per

Hi Grant,
It's a real achievement to catch one of these big bridges in Venice without tourists because they are so inevitable (perhaps the key is to try early in the morning).
Nevertheless this is a lovely view, with crisp and bright colours of early spring. The weather is so nice that even the water in canal looks attractive.

Hi,Grant!
Wonderful composition with very real atmosphere of Venice!
Well done!
Yuri
Good choice adding the people. I like your POV here. Original for a Venice picture and the railing creates a nice diaganol across the photo. Great color and composition and nice subtle framing.
