[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This incredible, astonishing schooner, made by Lurrsen, called EOS, moored on the pier of "Stazione Marittima" in Trieste for some days. 300 ft (90 m) long. Never seen a boat full with gadgets like her: all the sails can be hoisted with electrical whinches, the tenders have their own hydraulic lifts, as the hatches. Three jibs, three masts. Would be nice to see how she sails. Googling a bit with "Lurrsen EOS" you can find other pictures of her, but I couldn't find technical data.

I could only take pictures at night, had no time. Went B&W to avoid unpleasant white balance with sodium lights. Noise reduction with neat image, sepia cast. No tripod, just the stabilizer on the lens.

PS Quite odd to get a picture of an EOS with a D80 :o)

Hi Marko, A very beautiful photo, the light is perfect & the composition excellent, the detail in the rigging is superb & it stands out so well against it's contrasting background, razor sharp focus & just brilliant, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Marko

Wow, to get such a night shot without a tripod! That lens must be worth it's weight in gold. A good clean shot, nice detail. At first I thought perhaps too much black, but after looking longer, I think it works very well without any cropping. And a nice irony, the EOS with a Nikon!

Ciao Marko!
Ciao, compliments!

Livia

Ah, Marco, this is a fabulous shot!! To be taken at night and no tripod? The lighting is fantastic and the composition with the boat in a perfect spot. I love the way it is lit from the side and the darkness in the back. All the masts are perfectly lit up and the detail is extraordinary. This is just incredible! Warm regards,
Shelly

A very majestic photo - I like the sharp lines, the reflected lights in the ripples and the overall balance of the pictures. I think it's a much better result than a long exposure.

Very nice photo, I love it ! magnifique point de vue, good job

Excellent night shot, very sharp. The portrait format enhances the height of the masts. B&W was a very good choice.
Well done Marko!

Thành.
