Axiom of the Pipe (Trischmann's Paradox)

A pipe gives a wise man time to think and a fool something to stick in his mouth.

Technical: slight postprocessing on several aspects: added 8% saturation, warming filter 10%, reduced vignetting 24%, increased contrast (auto), de-noised with Neat Image, cropped for the rule of thirds and sharpened 200%-0,3-0/resized at 800 px/sharpened 200%-0,3-0.

Rule of thirds be hanged, I love the girl, with her cool attitude and obvious sense of adventure with the helmet and all. But I'd definitely crop off that white sky. If I scroll my screen until I just get the the horizon and can't see the white block at the top, it's a big improvement. Still, big credit for subject.

Hello Marko

First of all I must agree with cliffW, you could do without the white sky.
Other than this the photo looks just excellent.
Very sharp finish and focus on the girl. Not so much indication of her smoking other than the presence of the sigarette, but this is just perfect for this scene.
Today we know that smoking isn't exactly healthy, but when you look at eg. Marlboro posters and commercials the whole thing of smoking has been very romanticised.
Excellent photo and great spotting!

Ah, I see that what has been said about the glaring white strip of sky has made the point already. Actually, despite your increase of saturation and contrast, the picture looks lacking in both to me. It also seem to still have a blue caste. Daily life pictures, that is, ordinary people doing ordinary things are hard to make interesting unless there is an extra element. Actually the pose of the woman is nice, but it is just not enough. regards Kevin
