Hi Jean Michel,

Very nice shot! I like the blue iced mountains in the background. Beautiful wall and stone building (is it a tower?). Excellent colors, light and sharpness.

Good Evening Jean. One indication of a good photo is the balance of elements in the framework. I like the rock wall at the bottom of photo and the ancient ruins positioned off center and covering the background mountain range. The way these elements are presented makes me want to see more of Mt Blanc which is a very inviting aspect of this photo. Good work Jean...and thanks for sharing!

Je fus déçu de mon circuit dans le secteur en 87, car j'étais en excursion en car et pas question de pouvoir photographier à son aise depuis la fenêtre.
Je suppose que c'est le massif du Mont blanc qui est masqué par l'architecture; le voile atmosphérique est très présent en altitude.

La vue vers le Mont Blanc est superbe... mais pourquoi as tu plante cette grosse vilaine tour au milieu ??? ;-))
Ils devaient pas se sentir tranquilles a l'epoque dans le coin, car y'en a vraiment pleins des trucs fortifies dans le val d'Aoste !

A very nice view of the town, well placed in the composition. The Alps in the background look great too and I like the inclusion of the stone wall in the foreground. The light is very pleasant. Good work!

Je vois que tu es passé par cette belle ville d'AOSTE et par le Grand St-Bernard, ce que j'avais fait en 2005. Ta capture est excellente.
Je t'envoie en WS un plan d'Aoste qui pourra peut-être t'aider à identifer les monuments et édifices photographiés.

Olá Jean Michel, lovely postcard from the Alps, northern Italy. The textured wall in FG is a very smart inclusion in the composition and the medieval tower is splendid against the snowcapped mountains of the Alps. The colors and light are making the image very attractive. Fantastic image.

Bonjour Jean-Michel,
le Valais Italien, tout aussi beau que le Valais suisse, les autres versants des ces Alpes magnifiques.
Le fond bleu et blanc convient bien à ces veilles pierres que tu as prises en préservant leurs couleurs naturelles.
C'est net et plein de profondeur.

Nicely composed image with three levels - I like the foreground wall to give us contrast to the mountainside. The building looks kind of mystic.

Hi Jean Michel,
You make good use of the fine stone wall here for framing this and the clarity of detail is impressive throughout. I like the way the tower contrasts so well with the mountains and sky beyond, while the orange roof top adds an entirely new hue that somehow blends in with some of the tones of the wall. A fine capture. Cheers.

Je vois qu'il fallait se rendre en Italie cette année pour bénéficier du soleil et du ciel bleu.

Un bel endroit, sous une belle lumière.
Par contre, j'avoue que j'aurais aimé voir le Mont-Blanc en intégral, en composant la tour plus à gauche...un goût personnel bien sur.
La cloture du premier plan est judicieusement bien placé.

Ta composition est vraiment magnifique et tu joes parfaitement avec les differents plans pour nous donner une jolie compilaton des charmes de la valle d'Aoste. Le mur qui donne une coupure horizontale du bas de l'image est juste superbe!
