Bonjour Bertrand,

Voila une presentation pour le moins originale de Venise. Il est vrai que la mouette apporte une petite touche supplementaire qui attire le regard.
Tres belle lumiere qui met bien en evidence les textures de ce premier plan.

Good morning Bertrand,
I bow for this picture from Venice because it's soooooooo different from what we normally see from there that it needs a great eye and creative spirit to make something like this.
something complete different and how i like to see that. I've never been there, but the grande canal comes by everyday here, so i have a very small impression. Your photo shows us something different from a very creative pov...perfect.

Excellente vue très atypique d'une partie de cette ville.
Le choix du point de vue et de la profondeur de champ sont vraiment très bons.
La netteté donne la possibilité d'admirer en détails le sommet de cette toiture et les affres du temps sur la statue.

First off all I must say I´m a bit jealous reading your travel agenda,just the right places where I´d like to visit.
This picture shows a slowly dramatic ending of the Venetian glamour,many things fall apart and is not getting repared or rebuild anymore.The seagull on top of the statue head softened the reality a bit,nice shot!

sympa...j'avais remarqué cette statue du haut du campanile de San Giorgio Maggiore mais même avec le 300mm, je n'avais pu m'approcher d'aussi près. J'imagine que tu as pris ceci d'un autre point de vue....c'était où?

Bravo d'avoir vu et saisi cet oiseau irrespectueux. Le personnage statufié est tellement surpris d'une telle audace, que les bras lui en tombent. Excellente réalisation et belle vue d'un lieu mythique.

Bonjour, Bertrand. Du point de vue de la composition, l'image me plaît beaucoup avec le dôme dans le bas de l'image qui semble reposer sur le cadre. Le dôme et la statue qui le surmonte se détachent bien sur le Grand Canal et la mouette est un détail intéressant. La ligne créée par les constructions apporte du contraste dans le bleu et évite la monotonie d'une trop grande surface occupée par cette couleur.

Hi Bertrand, A fine POV looking down on this tall ancient looking statue. It indicates that after all man's structures are finally gone, birds will still be flying around. Several meanings echo fom this image. TFS. Murray.

Olá Bertrand, superb foreground for this view. The statue with its bird is nicely surrounded by boats that are passing close but never touch it. The seagull even squatted down a bit so the boat on top can pass over its head ;-) Splendid details on the statue and cupula.

Tout simplement une belle lumière qui souligne la texture de la statue, du toit, et un bon timing sur cette petite mouette qui est venue se reposer sur sa tête. Les bateaux semblent minuscules...un bon rendu des couleurs également!

A very creative picture from Venice. Have seen tons of pictures from the Grand Canal, but none as refreshingly different as this. Fine use of the long end of the zoom & in very good light. Excellent!

Et oui il y aen a plein à venise. celui est particulièrement bien placé. je me souviens d'avoir été étonné de voir le long du canal qui va de venise à l'aeroport de voir sur chaque pilier en bois un spécimen comme celui-ci regardant ces congénères des piliers voisins ou les touristes qui passent.
