You may have noticed that I can't resist railways. this a pretty intersting view of the scene here, showing the long trains marshalled, presumably for onward journeys across Russia, and is that a local railcar on the platform. I'm really quite amazed by the way that passenger services in the Baltic states seemed to have almost collapsed since independance 16 years ago. Now that they rail companies independant commercial organisations, rather than public services, the three of them compete for the locrative mainly Russian frieght market. Signs of the times.

I like the shot, but really rather a special interest one.
