Photographer’s Note
The living house built in the fishermen's village (Ventspils district), in 1884; acquired by the museum in 1971. As regards the plan the building has three divisions. The anteroom and the kitchen are situated in the middle, house-holder's room and the pantry occupy the left side, but the household room known as "dižistaba" (high room) usually was found on the right side of the building. Such structures were typical for Liv fishermen's farmsteads and were inhabited by the rich owner's family, labourers and tenant farmers.
