Photographer’s Note

Gutenberg Castle is in the far south of Liechtenstein near to the village of Balzers. It is very pleasant to stroll here by the small pond and fields. Another picture from nearby but looking in a different direction is here.

Hi Jonathan, very nice scenery and composition; almost everything in this picture leads the eye up towards the the castle. It almost seems like the castle tries to match the distant peak from this angle. Very nice colours and nice work with the light. Well done!

Nice castle captured in very good angle. Good composition too. Colours seem to be rather could -- with a bit blue tint. Adding a bit of yellow may helps.

Good shot Jonathan - I like the way you were able to put the castle on the hill in context with the farms in the valley and the lake. I like the diagonal of the hill spliting the frame and linking the farm building below with the castle above. Very well balanced photo. Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Jonathan - a random find today, very eurolicious landscape. I can't beleive there is a "view map" function for Liechtenstein (and none for the UK!), you take 2 steps to the right and get to colour anorther chunk of the country orange.

Great composition with nice sharpness and an outstanding DOF. The steppes winding up the mountain to the castle lead the eye well. Your color and lighting are great with a good POV.
