Photographer’s Note

View to the valley of the river Rhine in Liechentenstein (it is about 8 km far away). In the foreground you could see the church of Triesenberg. (in the WS you could see the valley just one day before as a misty valley)

Triesenberg Commune is a village in Liechtenstein with a population of 2564, an area of 30 square kilometers, and an elevation of 884-1000 metres. The village is noted for its distinct dialect, dating from the influence of Walser migrants in the Middle Ages. This dialect is actively promoted by the municipality. (from Wikipedia)

Hallo Achim,
sehr beeindruckende Aufnahme über die Kirche und ein paar Dächer hinweg. Wie sich der Rhein in das Tal schmiegt, gibt einen tollen Ausblick. Die Dächer erzeugen einen wundervollen dunklen Rahmen, da der obere Teil des Fotos doch sehr hell ist. Gutw Wirkung.

Hello Achim,
Superb perspective with great depth, helped by the inclusion of the church in the foreground. The mist adds to the atmosphere of calm and produces some nice muted colours in the fields and hills.

Hi Achim,
Very interesting view to the valley. Thanks to the mountain on the other side you created one long view without the sky included.
The weather was obviosuly not so great, but you made the best of it. These more distant parts look a bit dreamy, and as if they were drawn.
Good idea also to include the tower in the foreground.

Hallo Achim, ich wünsche ein gutes neues Jahr! Ein schönes Bild aus Liechtenstein, in dem die Lichtverhältnisse den Kontrast zwischen Vordergrund und der Landschaft gut verstärken - man hat geradezu den Eindruck, eine 3D-Wiedergabe der Szenerie zu sehen. Sehr schön, wie sich der Rhein und die angrenzende Bahnlinie in den Hintergrund biegen; dadurch wird die Lesbarkeit des Bildhintergrundes erleichtert. Well done.

What a glorious view Achim. I love that you have included the top of the church in the foreground. The view to the distance is really quite spectacular with the river curling around into the distance. The mist adds a nice atmosphere to the image. Congratulations, very nice indeed.

Very good composition that has great depth thanks to the inclusion of the church in the foreground. The use of a small aperture has allowed plenty of detail to be seen in the view beyond the church. The misty light creates its own atmosphere.

The strong contrast between the roofs and the belfry in foreground respect of the sight of the a bit stumped valley and with soft and gray tones it is fantastic, has a great visual impact and turns out to be very attractive.

Hi Achim. The background haze (or mist) gives this photograph a strange feel, but I quite like it as it makes the buildings in the foreground stand out in an almost 3D effect (and superbly sharp).
