Photographer’s Note
One of my rare sunsets. The silhouette gives a good impression of the general look of Druskininkai, lots of trees, with the most dominant building being the very Baltic looking brick church, the spire of which can be seen to the right.
The reason to come here, though, is not the scenery, but the extensive variety of health spas, amongst the best in the world, amd at prices that would make clients of Champneys or Ragdale Hall want to scream. My wife, who'd been to both of those, rated this place as better. So far this seems to be one of Lithuiania's best kept secrets. We stayed at the plushest place in town, Spa Vilnius, most of the clients were Lithuanian, a bus load of Belarussians turned up, and surpirisingly, a significant number of Isrealis. During our stay the only other foriegn cars in the car park were: 2 Latvian, 2 German, 1 Belarussian and 1 Norwegian.

Hi Richard
I like the graphism & silhouettes, especially the tower on the right. Good color tonal range & sharpness. Well done!

Very nice sunset view. Beautiful shades of light and colour. The belfry on the right is very attractive. Neat silhouettes.
Very well done!

One of your rare sunsets but extraordinarily beautiful Richard, the dark silhouettes on the foreground together with imminent sky and there between the lovely red sky, make your picture wonderful.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hi Richard, A beautiful burning sky. I like the silhouette view on the ground, which provides a hint of the near out skirt of the city. The formation and the colors of the clouds are beautiful. An excellent picture.

Nice format Richard. Sort of panoramic which suit the pattern in the sky.

Hi Richard. For not doing them much you sure did a great job. I like the low horizon, rich colors and textures across the sky. This is a perfect use of silhouettes. Nice work Richard!

Vilnius now, is it Richard? You are quite the globe trotter. If I didn't know that you were a lectured, I would suspect that you were an airline pilot. You have found a magnificent sky and, bye placing the only focal point, the tower, on the extream right, you have made an interesting and surptising composition. For me, the rsult is very satisfying. Regards Kevin
