Photographer's Note

This is my first photo from Luxembourg, a country that I visited last May for the first time in my life, despite its pretty close proximity to The Netherlands. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't that great during my three-day visit, but when I took this photo of the town of Vianden, there was a tiny bit of sunshine though.

The photo shows an aerial view of Vianden (Luxembourgish: Veianen), a town of almost 2,000 inhabitants, located on the river Our, close to the Luxembourgish-German border. A chairlift had taken me to the top of a hill close to Vianden Castle, when some sunlight managed to break through the heavy clouds.
