Photographer’s Note

The very first day that the horses were in the meadow!!
We had summmer in April and autumn in June. As a result the animals were kept indoors because it was too wet outside. SO, despite the fact that the weather looks more like a mild winter, we have proof that the Luxemburg farmer has decided that summer has arrived.

La toute première journée que les chevaux étaient dehors. L'été tombait en avril et l'automne en juin et les chevaux sont restés à l'intérieur car le sol était trop humide. Juillet est arrivé et le propriétaire a décidé que l'été est arrivé finalement, malgré le fait que nous avons l'impression que l'hiver est assez doux.

Salut John,
L'arrière plan flouté est très bon pour faire ressortir les chevaux. Très bonne profondeur de champ.
J'aime bien le titre humoristique.

Good thing John that someone just decided that summer is here. Still I had a top weather last weekend under my stay in the TE meeting in Romania..
Nice capture of the horses out in the field. Good thing the one turning to you - posing in a way. A little low light, compwise nice also with the inclusion of the foreground flowers.

Un très bon cliché avec un bel effet d'optique puisque l'on pourrait croire à une tête pour deux corps avec ceux du coté gauche...:-)

I hope the farmer doesn't have cause to regret his action.
I like the fact one of the horses is looking directly at you. the inclusion of the white flowers in the foreground work well in the composition.

Hallo John,

Het was zo, zomer in april en herfst in julli, opnieuw de wereld op zijn kop.
Een mooi kapitaaltje bij elkaar, met deze vier mooie paarden, gevaarlijk om ze in de wei te laten gedurende de nacht.
Er was op zijn minst één die interesse had in de fotograaf, dit is altijd mooi als eentje kijkt, zeer goed gedaan met de blur achtergrond. Bedankt voor uw bezoek.
Hopelijk krijgen we even zomer, maar de Gentse feesten zullen blijkbaar starten onder een goed gesternte, het eerste jaar dat ik er niet zal zijn voor de stoet.

Hi John,
A peaceful summer's day. I like the way you framed the horses with the lovely wild daisies in the field. The background is slightly blurred, actually enhancing the shot and focussing the viewer's attention on the grazing animals. Very well captured.

OH they are beauties too...I've owned horses all my life until 4 years ago when I moved here to Canada, So I still love them for sure! This is such a peaceful shot., Love all the daisies in the foreground...TFS
