Return home after sunset. I hope he got fish.

With more zoom and less bright sky the buildings across the St. Paul's Bay are now more visible than on my previous upload.

I like this Kari, it's very atmospheric and I like the simplicity of the composition.
One small niggle; I think it would have been better if the boat was entering rather than exiting the frame. Unless there was something out of shot to the right that you wanted to exclude, I think it would have been better to place the boat in the bottom left corner rather than the right.
Still, I like it, and apart from that it's worked well.

Cheers,
Ben

Hi Kari,
Lovely sky ... the foggy background is just perfect for the scene and also gives you a natural filter from the bright sky. Nice touch of the loney fisherman ... I also hope he caught some fish for his family. Well captured ... good work! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Kari,
I like color of the sky and is reflection on the water surface. The blurred "cubes" and forest look good on the photo. Regards. Latiff.

PS: I'm looking for Swiss photo with cows. I'm sure I have one.

My first thought was the placement of the boat and I see you have already discussed that with Ben. Other than that the muted colours and misty ambience work very well

I had to change my critique, after reading your discussion with Ben, because I agree with you about 'leaving' the scene and not entering it. Although to be honest, when I first saw the thumbnail, I also thought the boat should be on the left!
I like the sense of perspective between the 2 fishing boats and I see a triangle - created by the 2 boats and 2 lines of sunlight on the water.
Beautiful colours in the sky. Well captured, Kari.

Hello Kari,
Situation is universal but here nicely captured in this fine Maltese setting!
I like the composition, and the colours create a wonderful atmosphere...
The image has a fine feeling of depth!
Greetings,
Pablo -
