Cahul,città di quasi 35.000 abitanti nella Moldova sud-occidentale.In passato chiamata Scheia,Formoza,Kagul,dal 1991 acquisisce la sua denominazione attuale.Nota in Rep.Moldova per le sue terme e l'università,si trova a 5 km dal confine romeno subito a est del fiume Prut.
