Photographer’s Note

Cetinje (pron. TSE-ti-nye; pop. 15,000) was the historical capital of Montenegro, including the period of its independence from 1878 to World War I.

There are many buildings of former embassies, and the Presidential Palace.

After World War I, Montenegro became part of the newly established Yugoslavia, in 1946 the capital was moved to Podgorica (ex-Titograd), and it has remained there since the country became independent once again a few years ago.
