Photographer’s Note

Dans les bouches de Kotor, il y a des monastères qui montent la garde, des églises qui surveillent et des montagnes qui me retiennent.
Une fois entré, je deviens prisonnier du passé.
Alors, je rêve de l'époque byzantine.
Je recherche la touche des vénitiens.
Je pleure les guerres récentes et la terre qui tremble.
Je me console dans le bleu de la mer.

In the mouths of Kotor, there are monasteries which are like guards, churches which supervise and mountains which retain me.
When entered, I become prisoner of the past.
Then, I dream of the Byzantine time.
I seek the key of the Venetian ones.
I cry the wars recent and the ground which trembles.
I comfort myself in the blue of the sea.

Quelle belle photo ! La vue est superbe. J'adore comment la tour prend du relief avec cette vue sur la mer derrière. Très réussi.

Nice combination, with the tower near to us, and the island and mountain drawing our eyes toward the distance. The quality is great for a scanned slide. Well done!

Belle composition qui fait honneur à la tour,bien décentrée à gauche,ce qui la situe bien dans son environnement,tout en dégageant l'ilot et l'espace portuaire.

une photo splendide, le clocher a gauche, l'ile avec une autre église au centre, la montagne en fond, sacré composition, avec des couleurs en plus magnifiques, et en plus une belle note c'est du bon boulot bertrand

Cette région des bouches de Kotor est vraiment superbe.
Le relief que donne la matière de cette tour combiné avec une exposition qui donne une profondeur de champ parfaite permet de donner le relief idéal à cette image. Comme d'habitude, ta note est un parfait complément à l'image proposée. Merci pour ton talent.

Zdravo Bertrand,
J'ai deja vu ici plusieurs photos de cet endroit qui a l'air vraiment tres chouette, j'aime beaucoup ici ton cadrage qui me rappelle une de mes photos, de plus avec cette ouverture la tour ressort comme en relief sur la montagne et ca ca rend tres bien.

une image parfaitement composé, j'aime bien l'quilibre offerte par ce clocher et la montagne. Je trouve les couleurs un chouia frodes...mais rien de grave.
J'appris que tu partais au Rajasthan bientot....la premiere fois, vacances, quel est ton parcours....?? Désolé je suis curieux et je t'envie, c'est un joli coin, tu vas voir, Jodphut, c'est magnifique.
Nous on decolle pour l'Inde du Sud en Fevrier.

This is nicely composed picture. The tower in foreground, the small church in the iceland and the mountain in background are placed in a row of view and make the picture very eyecatching. Well seen and done.

C'est un peu cliché, mais c'est tellement comme cela que j'imagine cette partie du monde !
La définition porte l'âge de la compo, mais crée un peu d'ambiance surannée qui va bien avec l'endroit, je trouve.

Hi Bertrand - wonderful combination of nature and architecture, the objects are perfectly positioned. This is actually the village of Perast, not Kotor, though on the same gulf, the geographical location can easily be corrected from your "manage" page.

And Montenegro is on its own now...
I like this shot, shows the long history this country has had, it even was independent before. Yugoslavia is history now...
Nice composition with the small island with a church in the background.
