Photographer’s Note

This tiny island, Sveti Stefan, was a simple fishing community for centuries, until the 1950s.

Then it was nationalised by the socialist government and turned into a hotel.

It is currently being renovated. It is possible to cross the isthmus to the other side but the main gate is closed and there is currently no access to the island itself.

You've shoot from the same point just 9 days after me :) I must accept your version is much more better than mine especially since it's wider enough to show it is surrounded by endless Adriatic and the way to the island. Colors and sharpness are amazing.

Hi Daniel,

The trees are framing well the scene. The point of view takes our eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showing the details and colors of the small island. the presence of the boats has an effect of scale. The light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Good shot with nice, crisp colors. The trees frame the picture nicel, but I would have tried a square format. A matter of taste I guess.

This is a nicely composed shot of this island village. The red roofs provide nice contrast for the blue water and sky. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The trees in the foreground provides nice framing for the shot.

i was so sure i had written a critique for this one, i remember reading the note... i prefer this version to your last upload daniel, the ornaments look a bit distracting in it... but this one shows all the beauty of the tiny island... staying there could be a cool experience for sure... but would cost a fortune i bet>:)... cheers... korkut
