Photographer’s Note

Zierikzee est une ville néerlandaise, située sur l'île de Schouwen-Duiveland. Au 1er janvier 2006, Zierikzee comptait 10 658 habitants.

Les sources anciennes font remonter Zierikzee au Xe siècle. Depuis 1248, la ville dispose de nombreux privilèges et franchises (stadsrechten). À la fin du Moyen Âge, Zierikzee fut une des villes les plus importantes de la Zélande.

Elle fut vainement assiégée en 1300 par les Flamands, qui y furent battus sur mer en 1304 par les Français et les Hollandais. Prise par les Espagnols en 1676, elle fut reprise peu après.

De 1810 à 1814, Zierikzee fut sous-préfecture du département français des Bouches-de-l'Escaut.

Zierikzee fut une commune indépendante jusqu'en 1997. En cette année, toutes les communes des îles de Schouwen et de Duiveland fusionnaient, pour former une nouvelle commune, Schouwen-Duiveland. Zierikzee en est le chef-lieu.

Bonjour Daniel,

Une autre vue sur ce moulin, un autre POV mais toujours aussi bien choisi. Des contrastes forts, des couleurs qui claquent, un très beau travail et un magnifique souvenir pour ceux qui, comme moi, aiment cet endroit.

PS Quand tu étais sur l'île de Schouwen-Duiveland as-tu eu l'oaccsion de faire un saut jusqu'aux villages de Dreiscchor et de Brouwershaven ? Si ce n'est pas le casn penses-y la prochaine fois. Eux aussi sont en effet très beaux.

La contre-plongée sous ce ciel tout bleu valorise beaucoup le moulin et le choix du plan rapproché donne un beau rendu du détail de ses ailes.

La prise de vue du bas vers le haut donne de la perspective à la composition. Les arbres cadrent bien le moulin à vent. La qualité de la lumière fait ressortir les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

A different view on the windmill!
The diagonal red roof is a sure eye-catcher, the Dof is effective in producing sharpness in all distances...
I like the tight framing and inclusion of the green tree adds life and colour contrast!
