| One of the side streets in the old Dutch town of Kampen, with the sailing ship docked in the IJssel river. In the Middle Ages Kampen was a Hanseatic League city and a very prosperous port due to the herring trade, being close to the Zuiderzee, but the closing of this sea by the dike in 1932 reduced it to the status of the river port. The houses seen in the background on the other bank of the river belong to the village of IJsselmuiden, known for its very strict religious community rules. |

Good note for a beautiful image.
I like the colours and the effect of the shot. It really seems that the boat is going... through the city.. in the streets... passing by the buildings.
Well done.
Hi Aleksander

Hello Alexander
My today smile not for your last posting, but for this picture. It's an funny enigma. How does the ship ever pass the street in front?
Real Dutch colours.
