And.... it's a colour-picture too !

Hi Hans,
This is a well captured shot with a nice point of view. Very graphic. Also like the slight movement on some of the birds. This photo for me has quite an Escher feeling to it.

Lovely shot. Their white beaks and legs really stand out. Nice chaos, I'm sure if you connected them all, some sort of figure would come out. ;)

Très amusante photographie, c'est d'ailleurs assez rare de voir ces palmipèdes réunis ; d'habitude, ils sont éparpillés.

Hallo Hans,

Deze Meerkoeten zijn er in geslaagd samen te zwemmen voor een mooie foto, misschien was uw dochter er bij en keken ze niet naar de fotograaf, maar naar het meisje, grapje!
Het mooie aan deze foto is dat u de foto heeft kunnen nemen van boven uit met een gepaste hoek, waardoor we de poten zo goed in het water kunnen zien, twintig op een kleine oppervlakte is niet zo dikwijls te zien, misschien worden ze daar terplaatse gevoed!

Hi Hans, Nice3 catch. The funny thing is from this PoV that they look so flat as if they do not have a body at all. It seems a very peaceful pond, but looking better I can see one coot biting another. Oh good, I thought they had suddenly turned into peaceful animals ;-)

Prachtige foto van bovenaf van deze meerkoeten. Erg leuk dat een aantal bijna exact dezelfde kleur hebben als het water, waarbij hun witte snavels het meest opvallen. Heel mooi werk!

I read your into about commenting on your photos only if I liked them and not because you critiqued my photo. Hans I really like this photo. I would suggest an addition to the title by saying Twenty White Bills and Forty Wet Feet. And yes I counted them for myself..not that I don't trust your count. I work in inventory and I naturally count alot all day long. Counting these twenty was fun. Yes a real fun kind of photo...thanks for sharing!

Nice downward view of 20 coots, Hans. The main effect of the photo is achieved by the chaotic arrangement of the white beaks amid this almost monochromatic palette. Well seen!

on a un peu l'impression qu'ils sont dans du mazout :-).
Le graphisme est bien réussi, une photo qui donne bien, ces petites têtes et becs blancs sont du plus bel effet.
C'est très original.

What a strange photo...an almost momocromatic composition with the exception of the soft pink tones of the bird's beaks.
A very graphcal composition.
