Hi Kari,
I like the photograph for its colors, composition and the drama. But I would have prefered to see it in a horizontal frame...more drama perhaps.

Hi Kari,
I stayed in to many hotel during the last few years that it alsmost become boring. Never saw it like you show us here. This alsmost look like art, the play of light and the way you composed the lamp against the mirror....perfect..!!!

:D excellent dedication and I suspect you might get some quite magnificent shots of the interiors of cafés and other sheltered places here in Luxembourg... or then just the opening ceremonies under rain :D

Nice composition for this still life, a genre which seems to be neglected nowadays. The combination of the corner, the lamp and the mirror is nicely observed. A good example of how to produce a nice result with ordinary things.

this is wonderful composed picture. Very well done. When I shoot a picture in a hotel room or something like that there are allways my feet visible in the foreground... because I do the pictures laying on the bed ;))

Hello Kari,
What a nice thought for all us travellers who are often called to spend the night in such places. I've never thought of taking such a photo but I like your idea a lot. I also appreciate the way you've chosen to show us a detail rather than the whole room. This is almost what one would see while lying in bed. I'll be in such a room tomorrow night as I will be sleeping in Orly Sud (Paris) before taking a very early flight for Tamanrasset on Sunday morning... maybe I'll try to take a picture of the room!.

Nice shapes, Kari, and well seen. The light is warm and gives a oft glow to the picture. The fact that the wall is coming towards us, creates a nice line as well. So there are quite a few geometrical elements in the shot

Well done, good minimalistic catch with simple, daily life objects, but combined very well.
Nice colours, exposure and details.
