Veteran's Day in the Netherlands is a day to give all Dutch veterans the acknowledgement and respect they deserve - from the government as well as Dutch society.
One can be against war, but these veterans have battled for peace and security all around the world, based on the democratic decision-making by the Dutch goverment / politics. Irrespective of one agrees with that decision to go to war or not.


Technical note:
During Veteran's Day, I stuck to my 105mm f/2.0 DC lense. Rear defocus f/2.0, creating wonderful bokeh.

Salut Dennis,
C'est bien de voir que les focales fixes, un peu oubliées avec les zooms modernes, donnent d'aussi bons clichés.
La couleur, le piqué et le bokeh sont superbes!

quel beau portrait de ce vétérant, quel beau costume il a tuas a l'art de faire de mangigique portrait de sujet totalment différent, très bien vu, superbe.

Hoi Dennis,
Dit lijkt inderdaad een heel mooi stukje glas. Heel moeilijk te zien op dit formaat hoe goed hij echt is, maar de foto straalt wel in brilliantie en scherpte.
Misschien boven iets teveel ruimte, maar vind de statigheid die de man uitstraalt heel mooi neergezet...prima plaat.

mooie serie Dennis,
deze vind ik net even iets meer hebben dan Uw laatste, zeer goed genomen foto. De trots is goed te zien in een prachtige compositie, met een uitstekende dof, goed fotowerk. prettig weekend.
