Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken from the observation deck on top of Mt. Aksla overlooking Alesund. The water way running through the town adds to the "model look" of this photo.

Beautiful, Kind of art naive image. With the geometric and well defined shapes of bulidings and roofs, the overall gray appearance helps despite the small size the yellow building to stand out and even the white boats too. Even a couple of tiny red roofs and the red hull of the boat adds to this lovely image
Well done,
Morris

Hi Asa - it really is a very photogenic place isn't it? The building look like Legoland, I love this place, nice detailed closeup here even if the light was not ideal.

This really does look like a model or a fine art drawing. The detail is very sharp and the few coloured buildings stand out well.

Asa,
You are correct. This does look like a model Village. You have a very interesting POV from so high up. You have great claity and sharpness even from so far away. The buildings have an interesting architecture. I assume this is common for this area.
Nice photo, TFS,
Rob

Hello asa,
I like very much this picture. the POV is good and the sharpness perfect. This yellow building adds a nice colour touch. Else I find the variations on grey to white colour very graphic. I was wondering if a B&W pp should not be nice on it. I've made a test, let me know what you think about.
Kind regards
JMarc

Aalesund...I was supposed to visit this town this August. Unfortunately there was some boat&ship fair and all hotels in the town and its vicinity were fully booked.
It looks like a lovely small town, maybe next time...
The photo is a bit tilted to the left and is slightly too sharpened for my taste. The muted colors unfortunately make the town lifeless.
I like the bird-view, the town looks like Legoland :-)
Anyway, thank you for sharing this photo, now I know, what the town looks like.
Best regards,
Adrian

Hi Asa
What an interesting picture. I like the architecture and giometri this town. They are so close to each other that this is not surprising as many of the trees found a place to grow up here
Good job
Andrey
