Photographer’s Note

We took a shortcut along a local road, between E6 at Sel and road 15 at Vågåmo, in the municipality of Vågå.

You can see it on the map view.

There were a lot of construction works along this beautiful road. This is along the Rust Valley near Rusthaug.

Guten Morgen, Gunnar!
Ein ungewöhnliches Bild - und ein sehr sehenswertes! Der sonnenbeschienene Vordergrund und der etwas dunstige im Schatten liegende Hintergrund ergeben hier einen wunderbaren Effekt. Das "optische" Verschwinden der Straße ist auch etwas Besonderes und Anregendes: Wie geht's wohl weiter ...
Ein tolles Foto - und eine interessante "map view"!

A superb shot and what a good timing. You must have heard the tractor and have had your camera ready when it became visible. The tractor is perfectly positioned. Also excellent colours and composition. TFS and have a nice Sunday!

Even an ugly tractor can look good at the right place at the right time. This one provides a bit of excitement to the foreground and makes a good contrast to the overwhelming background. The colours are very well saturated indeed.

Fabulous photo, Gunnar!
The spectacular view of the mountains and trees would be less memorable without the tractor and the touches of snow. A very nice diagonal from the grass on the left, through the tractor, the highest hill and the treetops to the patch of white cloud, with top edge of cloud parallel to the skyline - a skilful composition.

Hello Gunnar,

This is a very strong and satisfying composition. The main interest – the tractor and trailer – is well placed in the frame, and the leading lines of the sides of the road point the eye towards it, and the focal point of its headlights.

The diagonal line suggested by the tops of the trees also leads our gaze down from the upper corner of the picture.

Immediately to the left of the tractor, the red of its trailer is neatly juxtaposed with the bright green complementary colour of the of the distant field. To the right, that orangey bush balances the composition nicely.

The blue distant mountain with its snow and the similarly coloured sky make a sympathetic background.

I would be interested to know what your PP workflow was here.

un vrai festival de couleurs fortes ici, avec malheureusement des montagns à l'arrière plan un peu trop bleutées, ce qui me semble manquer de naturel.
magnifiques lumières à l'avant plan qui se dégage avec pas mal de relief.

what an interesting composition! and, without doubt, a beautiful landscape... this is what always makes me admire such photos: the warm, clear FG and the hazy, cold BG! especially here - with the very blue mountains in the distance.

An attractive shot of a beautiful landscape and the tractor placed very well in your excellent composition.
The well lit foreground and the hazy bluish background make a nice contrast and enhance the perspective effect, which also otherwise is a good one, due to your good POV. Excellent clarity and sharpness.

Landskapet bakom traktorn är mycket vackert men bilden skulle ha varit tämligen ointressant om inte just traktorn hade dykt upp.
