[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I went to Oslo with family last easter holiday. Oslo is a lovely place, but maybe it was not a best place to spend easter holiday :)
When we left our place of stay to start roaming Oslo at 10am morning, seems we were the only ones on the street. very very quiet. Only after 12 maybe gradually we saw more people. no shops opened, no restaurants opened, no money changer in town opened, most of the museum closed. the cruise to north only starts in may.

Here I took in Bygdoy, after visited Kon Tiki museum and on the way walking to Viking museum (which turn out it was closed). Lovely houses there

Hejsan Cessy
Yea! I'v been in Norway on Good Friday or "Long Friday" as it's called in Sweden.
Norway is calm in an ordinary weekend but on this one it's desert.
You'v made it hard for you, that light is very close to killing the image totaly but i sure that with som PS work you can manage to get something nice out of it.

Hi cessy

I like the lens flare here which adds some dynamism to the high contrast lighting. I also like the symmetry & depth added by the curving shadow of the lamp post. Bagus, dans terima kasih!

I think I told you Cessy that the easter days for many Norwegians is the last chance to go up to the mountains and enjoy skiing - and especially in this part of town (who is always very silent) I'm sure not many was home this easter Friday. Anyway nice detail along the avenue up to the closed Viking ship museum (too bad..).

Hi Cessy!

Very interesting pov of this norweggian street! I like the colours and specially the light shown!
Well done!

Many thanks for your words about my last picture!

Cheers!

Hi Cessy,

Nice mood here. The sun shining, the empty streets populated with a solitary biker and shadows. The composition is very well tought the lamp placed on the right place covering the sun seems to be gloming, it's shadow draw on the gound adds that extra punch to the scene. You used wiselly the crossing lines to guide the viewrs eyes. Excellent deph of field. Really ingenius, it's on simple subjects like this one that we see the hability of a good photographer. The more I look at it the more I like it. Very well done!

Cheers,

Flavia

Hey Cessy. It looks like we both have the same wide-angle lens but different cameras. Having a filter on there might have made the lens flare worse. Personally I don't mind lens flare that much. You might have been able to clone it out of the sky without too much trouble. tfs Cessy.

Hi Cessy, you might be right. This doesn't seem to be the best place for Eastern Holidays. It is to calm! Nothing going on with exception of a single person crossing the road with his bike. I would have liked to see the whole shade of the lamp post.
TFS, peter

Hello Cessy,
Very nice scene you captured here.Well composed from a very good point to enjoy the scenery!I like very much the way you hide the sun back of the lamp post!

Best wishes,
Thomas
