[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
One of the artistic highlights of Norway is the Vigeland Park in Oslo.
The park contains 192 sculptures with more than 600 figures, all modeled in full size by Gustav Vigeland without the assistance of pupils or other artists.
In the centre of the park stand 'The Monolith', a column of 14.12 meters high carved out of a single block of stone, consists of 121 figures.
The column is completely covered by human figures in relief, singly or in groups.

Hi Kris,

A superb POV with great detail and sharpness. You can really appreciate how skilled the artist is from this shot.

Thanks,

Marcus

Rather interesting presentation of Vigeland's work,
Kris. I like the way you've singled out a part of this column
and contrasted it against the cloudy blue sky.
I now think would it be better to use smaller f-number
for this type of photo, to make the BG even more neutral
(by blurring it), but am not quite sure if this
would than match your initial idea...
Interesting,
Robi

kris

it is a nice way to show this famous monument. I am surprised to know it was carved. I thought it was made of cement. beautiful artwork and your compo is very beautiful to show it

Hello Kris,
Usually the photographer will take the whole part of The Monolith, but you make it different here. I like the idea and you have a very nice sky as the background here. I can see The Monolith's detail very well too and thanks for writing the useful note.
Sincerely, Imelda

You know what, I was always wondering how can I take a good shot of this artifact but never could take one my self and enver saw a very good one BUT this one is a nice shot... I really like the contrast between sky and the artifact ... PERFECT...
