The Oseberg ship is a well-preserved Viking ship discovered in a large burial mound at the Oseberg farm near Tønsberg in Vestfold county, Norway.
This ship is widely celebrated and has been called one of the finest finds to have survived the Viking Age.
The ship and some of its contents are displayed at the Viking Ship Museum. |

Hello Kris,
A very nicely composed image, a celebration of minimalism, but with the presence of the two men who provide scale, a human touch, and some color highlight. The great German physicist Werner Heisenberg said, "Never underestimate how much pleasure it gives a man to see what he already knows." Well I know this very room, and the beautifully preserved Osebert longship from a 1994 visit to Oslo. Thanks for letting us all have the vicarious joy of being there.
Warm regards,
Bulent
Hi Kris,
